LAMBUTH UNIVERSITY PLANETARIUM REACHES TO "THE OTHER SIDE OF INFINITY"

Thursday, April 17, 2008   (0 Comments)
On April 21 the M. D. Anderson Planetarium at Lambuth University will present "Black Holes: The Other Side of Infinity" at the 7:30 P.M. public show. This will be the premiere presentation of this new full-dome show, which was created by NASA, the National Science Foundation, NOVA, and the Denver Museum of Natural History. This exciting program, narrated by Liam Neeson, explores some of the latest science on black holes, objects so small and dense that even light cannot escape their gravitational pull.
The M. D. Anderson Planetarium is directed by Dr. Matthew Francis, Assistant Professor of Physics at Lambuth University. Regular admission for Planetarium shows is $5 for adults, $3 for 18 and under, and $10 for a family of three or more.
The M. D. Anderson Planetarium will continue shows throughout May, then close for the summer, and will re-open in the fall of 2008 for public and school shows. For more information, call the Planetarium Director at 731-425-3283, or the School of Mathematical & Natural Sciences office at 731-425-3362.
