NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC MUSICIANS TO PERFORM AT LAMBUTH

Friday, March 28, 2008
The Eroica Ensemble will return to Lambuth University to perform in the R. E. Womack Chapel on April 6 at 3:00 P.M.  The concert, free to the public, features Conductor Michael Gilbert, recently retired from the New York Philharmonic, and Concertmaster Yoko Takebe, New York Philharmonic principal violinist.

The Eroica Ensemble is comprised of classical musicians from New York, Chicago, and Memphis. The program for the concert has not been released yet.

“Lambuth University is proud to once again provide the venue for the Eroica Ensemble’s visit to Jackson,” remarked Lambuth University President Fred Zuker. “The November concert that was hosted in the campus Chapel was an inspiration, and we are proud to be able to present this gift to the community. We encourage everyone to visit Lambuth and enjoy this special event.”

Dr. Don Huneycutt, professor of music, serves as the Lambuth host for the event.
